ZENN Electric Cars
ZENN Electric Cars are a Canadian company that makes & supplies electric powered cars, ZENN stands for "Zero Emission No Noise".The ZENN car is a NEV (Neighborhood Electric Vehicle), seats 2 people has a range of 40 miles and is designed not to exceed 25 MPH. ZENN Motors uses the Microcar MC2 which is sold in Europe with a diesel engine as the basis for the ZENN car. They then fit electric motors, lead-acid gel batteries and controllers.
ZENN Motors are also planning a new vehicle called the cityZENN which will be powered by EEStor a new energy storage technology being developed by the EEStor company based in Texas, United States. The cityZENN is expected to have a range of 250 miles and a top speed of 78 MPH. Update Nov-2011:Zenn Cars stopped production of the Zenn Car in April 2010 and are currently concentrating their resources and efforts on EEStor investment. In total they produced 600 Zenn Cars from 2006 to 2010.
