Aptera Electric Cars
Aptera Motors is a company based in Carlsbad, California that is planning to build Aptera electric cars, their current model is named the striking Aptera 2e.Started in 2006 Aptera Motors are aiming to produce a high efficiency car, by using substantially lower drag coefficiency and reduced weight. With a low drag coefficient of 0.15, the Aptera 2e realizes less drag than Lance Armstrong on a ten speed bike! As a comparison the Toyota Prius 3rd generation drag coefficient is 0.25. The Aptera 2e is a two seater vehicle with an amazing mileage rating of around 300 MPG and a range of 100 miles (160 km). It is due for release in 2010 at this stage, is expected to cost US$25,000 upto $40,000 depending on options.
