Chinese Electric Cars
Chinese electric cars are seen as the next big thing in green cars, as they are expected to be reasonably priced, the question is can they produce a quality car? Warren Buffet must think there is potential as he has backed the Chinese car maker BYD by purchasing a 10% stake in BYD.One of BYD's latest offerings is the e6 a five-passenger wagon which they have said will have a range of 200 miles plus. BYD have only been in the business of making cars since 2003 but they have an army of engineers (8,000) in their R&D department, and aims to be the world's largest car company by 2025. BYD stands for "Build Your Dreams". Chinese car makers are rushing to grab a share of the rapidly expanding Chinese car market, currently the fastest growing car market in the world.
