Audi e-tron electric

Audi e-tron electric The Audi e-tron electric is based on the R8 beast but runs on four electric motors, one at each wheel, producing in total a 230 kW and a staggering 4,500 Nm of torque.

Driving range - 155 miles (250 kms)

Fuel - Electric lithium-ion batteries

Seating - 2 persons

A key factor in the design of the e-tron is the ability to freely distribute the powerful torque of its four electric motors to the wheels as required. This so-called torque vectoring allows for amazing dynamics and an stunning level of agility and precision when cornering.

Currently only a concept electric car, Audi have said the 'e-tron' should be in production by 2012.

Here are a couple of the few green sports cars available in production versions, the Honda CRZ hybrid and of course the Tesla Roadster ev.
